Job description
The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for conducting a routine and non- routine analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. He or she compiles data for documentation of test procedures and reports abnormalities. He/she also reviews data obtained for compliance with specifications and reports abnormalities. He or she revises and updates standard operating procedures and may perform special projects on analytical and instrument problem-solving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Test raw materials, intermediates and finished products using current pharmacopoeias, any associated ‘wet’ chemistry, microbiology and instrumental techniques (HPLC, UV, etc.) as appropriate.

2. Prepares test solutions, standards, etc. according to test methods.

3. Prepares quality control and raw material analytical reports.

4. Conducts water quality monitoring and rinse water testing.

5. Writes and executes validation protocols in corroboration with the Senior QC Analyst

6. Performs stability tests of the products, as instructed by the supervisor, in accordance with established procedures.

7. Maintains a record of the inventory of glassware, reagents, and culture media.

8. Conducts goods issue transaction of reagents and culture media usage in SAP.

8. Undertakes any other duties, either for this department or any other department within the division, which may be assigned by the QC Supervisor
