1. Performs the required microbiological analyses of accepted samples according to specified methods and procedures.

2. Prepares and submits reports to the Microbiology Specialist / Laboratory Business Manager for review, approval and signature.

3. Ensures that required analyses are finished on time for release of results to customers.

4. Prepares the required media and reagents and maintains the assigned equipment for proper conduct of the laboratory tests.

5. Implements strictly the established laboratory quality system based on PNS ISO/IEC 17025

6. Observes protocol on corrective and preventive measures for non-conforming work.

7. Monitors supply inventories needed for microbiological tests.

8. Prepares and follows-up P.R. / P.O. for materials / supplies to be purchased and inspects media and supplies delivered.

9. Assists management in the conceptualization and implementation of programs and projects which can benefit the entire business of the cooperative.

10. Participates in Proficiency Testing and other Quality Assurance programs of the laboratory, including method validation as required.

11. Implements guidelines on: good housekeeping in the laboratory and its environment, safety guidelines and proper and efficient disposal of laboratory wastes.

12. Provides assistance in the conduct of special projects.

13. Represents F.A.S.T. Laboratories in professional circles, technical fora, etc., as required.

14. Reports directly to the Microbiology Specialist and administratively reporting to Laboratory Business Manager.

15. Acts as deputy to the Microbiology Specialist

16. Performs other tasks as necessary to support the laboratory’s objectives.
