Job Title: Construction Estimator
Rate:AUD per month
Schedule: 40 hours; full time
About the Client:
The client has a diverse portfolio encompassing a wide spectrum of construction endeavors including fitouts refurbishments new builds facade restorations modular construction and sustainable spaces for industries such as commercial government Defense education retail hospitality and hotels. The team has successfully completed over 30 projects since inception.
Main Responsibilities:
- Advise the managing director of suitable tender packages.
- To estimate the value of a project being tendered as part of Business Development
- Communicate with design consultant to obtain design input for design and construct proposal
- Full responsibility of tender process from receipt to submission of tender including preparation of tender letter and schedules
- Ensure tender responses conform with tender requirements.
- Ensure tender responses are submitted within specified timeframes.
- Assist with collation of tender responses.
- Issue of tender packages to subcontractors consultants suppliers etc.
- Evaluate Subcontractors quotations received for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with Subcontractors to engage interest and ensure the scope of subcontractor quotations complies with tender requirements.
- Establish and maintain tendering process and negotiations
- Complete Tender with sufficient time for Management review no less than three (3) days before tender due date.
- Training of Cadets where applicable
- For successful tenders collate and handover all relevant information to project team including initial budget
- Ensure major suppliers and subcontractor agreements are in place where necessary and hand over all details to the project team.
- Assist project team with pricing claims and variations
Other Roles and Responsibilities:- Review unsuccessful tenders to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop cost plans and tenders for project opportunities.
- Coordinate final tender documentation or Delegate documented tender requirements for the tender submission.
- Assess tender risks including but not limited to:
- Time
- Contractual
- oCost
- oQuality
- Prepare tender letter and complete tender schedules
- Scrutiny of tender documents
Audits/Reports:- Participate in internal and external audits relating to tender processes.

Tools knowledge:- EstimateOne
- CostX or Cubit
- Viewpoint Teams and Jobpac systems
Qualifications:- Must have minimum of 23Years Construction Estimation experience supporting AU or Offshore clients
