DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PURPOSE

• To conduct or assist in conducting reviews of assigned organizational and functional processes.
• To evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls over those activities.
• To determine whether organizational units are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or control activities in compliance with management instructions.
• To plan and execute complete reviews of limited audit assignments, or conduct reviews of portions of extensive audit assignments.

AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Under the general guidance of the Internal Audit Manager or Senior Internal Auditor:

• Surveys functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of the system of control.
• Determines or assists in determining the direction and thrust of the proposed audit effort.
• Plans or assists in planning the theory and scope of the audit, and prepares or assists in preparing the audit program.
• Determines or assists in determining the auditing procedures to be used, including sampling and the use of electronic data processing equipment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Ability to present oral material, communicate in writing, in a fluent and logical manner to a range of audiences.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word & Excel).
• With good scholastic records.
