The Sydney Morning Herald is seeking a Digital Producer / Sub Editor to sub-edit, rewrite copy, produce digital assets and publish stories in our fast-paced newsroom.

Day to day you will:

• Review stories in the content management system with an intense focus on quality and deadlines
• Identify errors or mistakes in stories
• Write engaging and accurate SEO headlines, write-offs/precedes, and captions to improve audience engagement with our stories
• Liaise with reporters and topic editors to edit stories and rework copy
• Enhance stories with other assets such as photographs, videos, graphics, multimedia and key points
• Cooperate with production editor(s) to ensure the flow of work will meet deadlines
• Monitor blogs as required to ensure live copy is error-free and of high quality

Please note this role will work across morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.
