Job Description
TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS
- Repair, install, calibrate, maintain and inspect medical equipment instrumentation and support systems used in health care delivery.
- Perform preventive and corrective and maintenance (PM&CM) on all medical equipment.
- Perform electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices ad system.
- Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
- Review outcome of PM action and make recommendation to the department staff concerning improvements.
- Check and conduct testing on demo or newly delivered equipment provided by the suppliers.
- Assists and orients medical and nursing staff on how to use medical equipment.
- Assist with third party repairs
- Liaising with technician and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product in terms of design and economic availability.
- Provide mentoring to other biomedical technicians
