The Role
We are on the hunt for a full-time, in-house Social Media Lead to join our team and take our social media accounts to the next level.
The Social Media Lead is responsible for shaping the HIA social brand and driving engagement with digital audiences, aligned to HIA’s strategic agenda.
With the support of General Manager Communications, executes the social media strategy to enhance the Association’s social presence, and engages with members, customers and stakeholders to build an engaged community.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Manages all National social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) ensuring brand consistency.
- Creates, curates, and manages high-quality, engaging content (text, images, video) tailored to each platform.
- Executes and continually optimises HIA’s social media strategy in line with the Association’s goals and current social trends.
- Builds strong relationships with other teams to ensure cohesive messaging and promotion across all channels.
- Provides guidance to social media co-ordinators in the regions.
- Monitor, analyse and report on social media performance using analytics tools.
The ideal applicant will have the qualities of:
- Strong understanding of social media and digital marketing channels, trends, and tools.
- A willingness to travel on rare occasions for content production
- Strong copywriting skills, your portfolio will be full of example posts that are clever, professional and without typos.
- A team player with great communication skills. Confident in your ability to effectively convey your vision and ideas with others.
- Basic graphic design and/or Video editing skills. You’ll have many Canva-created graphic or video posts in your portfolio to show your skills.
- Proficiency in social media marketing platforms and tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Hootsuite, or similar.
- Must be self-motivated, creative and hard-working
