We are seeking a competent and analytical Intermediate AU Accountant for one of established firms in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
– Manage client accounts by ensuring accurate and timely coding and processing of financial transactions.
– Perform monthly and year-end closings, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
– Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements) in compliance with ATO regulations.
– Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate determination of profit and loss.
– Stay updated with Australian tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide advisory support to clients.

Qualifications:
– Minimum 4 years of experience working with Australian accounting.
– 3-5 years of hands-on experience with XERO, QBO, and MYOB.
– Deep knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.
– Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss determination.
– Proven ability to code client accounts weekly, including payroll and superannuation processing.
– Ability to prepare and lodge BAS and IAS independently.
– Capability to prepare financials for review by senior accountants.
