Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in HR Psychology Business Administration or any relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or labor relations with some work experience in overall HR function
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and attentiontodetail skills
- Ability to plan multitask and manage time effectively
- Proven administrative skills particularly in file organization and maintenance procedures
- Strong writing and recordkeeping abilities
- Good computer and database skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Employee Relations and Labor Relations:
- Develop and implement strategies to foster positive employee relations and maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Manage labor relations matters including investigation and resolution to employee complaints grievances and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations and labor relations matters policies and procedures.
- Conduct disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans when necessary.
2. Policy Development and Compliance:
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws and regulations.
- Ensure companywide compliance with labor laws HR policies and collective bargaining agreements.
- Conduct audits to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
3. DOLE Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regulations and requirements including First Aid BOSH SO 1 to SO 3 and DOLE Rule 1020.
- Stay updated on labor laws regulations and changes in employment practices.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and implement necessary actions.
4. Offboarding:
- Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback from employees leaving the company.
- Communicate and coordinate the offboarding process including necessary paperwork return of company assets and exit procedures.
- Ensure the timely release of final pay for departing employees ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
5. Employee Data and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records and documentation related to employee relations and labor relations.
- Prepare reports and analytics on employee relations trends labor relations activities metrics and key performance indicators.
6. HR Initiatives
- Assist and participate in the development and implementation of overall HR initiatives involving other departments such as employee services recruitment and office administration as needed.
- Other related to the achievement of HRs goals and objectives as may be needed from time to time.
