Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Microbiologist

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

• Collect sample of food service raw materials and finished goods for micro analysis
• Prepare and sterilize culture media, buffers and diluents needed for micro analysis
• Conducts microbiological analysis (Total Plate Count, E. coli/Coliform Count, Yeast and mold Count) using petrifilm plates
• Conducts environmental swabbing in RFP Production area as part of environmental monitoring
• Conducts hand swabbing of RFP personnel before start of production operation
• Formulates validation protocols and develops methods of analysis
• Prepare and sterilize culture media, buffers and diluents needed for micro analysis
• Collects water samples to conduct weekly Microbial limit test for pharmaceutical use
• Conducts quarterly environmental monitoring, personnel monitoring, and equipment monitoring for cleanroom (microbiology laboratory, dispensing area, Non-penicillin area, and penicillin area)
• Monitor data on non-viable environmental monitoring before operations
• Conducts bioburden on nitrogen gas
• Collects primary packaging materials for bioburden and conducts sterility test
• Collects raw materials for bioburden and conducts sterility test
• Conducts bacterial endotoxin tests on finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials for parenteral
• Formulates validation protocols and develops methods of analysis
• Do QC in-line checks of dispensing, loading, blending and sampling
• Formulates standards operating procedures based on GMP
• Keeps records of all analyses, instrument logs and signs the certificate of analysis/technical reports
• Perform other related functions assigned by immediate superior

What are the Qualifications?

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related fields
• Must be a Registered Microbiologist
• With at least 1 year of work experience as microbiologist in a pharmaceutical, food manufacturing company or testing laboratory
• Understand the principles of GLP (Good laboratory practices) and GMP (Good manufacturing processes)
• With experienced in laboratory techniques
• Willing to be assigned in Bagong Ilog, Pasig City
• 1 Full time position available
