We are seeking a proficient ITIL IT Asset Management Specialist to oversee the lifecycle of IT assets within this major organisation

Candidates must possess a baseline or NV security clearance, due to the nature of work undertaken
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with ITIL standards.
- Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
- Track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to organizational guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate asset data accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to optimize asset procurement processes, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective asset acquisition.
- Monitor asset utilization and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Coordinate with IT service management teams to integrate asset management processes into service delivery workflows.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates will possess:
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field.
- Proficiency in IT asset management tools and ServiceNow software.
- Ability to start with > 2 weeks notice
